Grain and General Services Union (GSU)
GSU represents working people who are engaged in agribusiness, grain handling, fish farming, livestock handling, newspaper publishing, oat milling, and printing. GSU members are employed in Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Alberta. The majority of GSU members work under the jurisdiction of the Canada Labour Code.
GSU affiliated with the International Longshore and Warehouse Workers Union – Canada in 1995, and became part of a larger inter-union consortium comprising a total of more than 14,000 working people who provide vital labour in Canada’s import/export supply chain, small manufacturers, the retail, wholesale, and service sectors.
