New Women in Trades Centre job postings
Are you a woman with a skilled trade? Are you passionate about supporting women in the trades?
The BC Federation of Labour, in partnership with the BC Building Trades, the BC Tradeswomen Society, Construction Labour Relations and the BC LNG Alliance, has received provincial funding to launch a two-year pilot project to support women in the trades.
The newly created BC Centre for Women in the Trades will work to eliminate systemic barriers to the retention and advancement of tradeswomen through three key pillars:
- outreach and mentorship;
- shifting the culture in the industry; and
- building the organizational capacity of employers, unions and others to support tradeswomen.
The Centre project is looking for two women from the trades to lead the implementation of this project as full-time project coordinators.
Please note April 29 is the application deadline.
