Labour Holiday Event

The 29th annual Labour Holiday Event is Saturday, December 21 from 2–6 pm at the Maritime Labour Centre, 1880 Triumph Street.

Every year, we collect and purchase items such as warm clothing and personal hygiene items to distribute to those in need and toys for children. And each guest will also receive a food hamper to take home with fresh produce and canned non-perishable goods.

And we need your help! If you can, please donate a gift for the hampers:

• unwrapped gifts and gift cards for children aged 0-18
• non-perishable items for food hampers
• clean almost new clothing for our clothing drive
• a financial contribution.

Or contribute some of your time! Join a lovely gang of folks volunteering at the Maritime Labour Centre sorting toys and food and filling hampers. Let us know whether you can come by on December 21 or between 9 am and 2 pm on December 19 or 20. Email Maura at labourholidayevent@bcfed.ca with the subject line "Holiday hamper program," include your name and contact details, and we'll be in touch.
